Publishers to receive cut of Xbox One pre-owned sales at retail

Many rumors make it so much is uncertain, but what we do know is that used games will play on the XBox One. There may be an activation cost, that is assumed to be included in the sale of the used game, but it looks to be a solid figure meaning used games won’t fall below the activation price (an unconfirmed price of £35 at the moment). Retailers may sell the game for whatever they wish, but they only get to keep up to 10% of the sale. That’s less than what they get for new games. The rest of the money goes to Microsoft and the developers.

Microsoft’s Major Nelson (what a name) did contact the source site explaining that some of the rumors aren’t true and they they really don’t know what they are doing yet.

Microsoft are either getting more greedy than ever or are trying to kill the used game market. Either way, we’ll learn more soon and keep you posted.

Yesterday was the 57th anniversary of the arrest of Rosa Parks. 57 years ago Rosa refused to move from her seat to the back of the bus.

It was only 57 years ago that it was legal to tell someone just because of their skin color they had to give up their seat. Discrimination like this was widely accepted, it took one brave person to stand up and fight it.

Yesterday President Obama visited the bus Rosa Parks was arrested in. It’s a powerful photo.

Don’t forget the recent past.
